Hi guys. Like the tag line says, this is where I talk about the stuff I make. I always appreciate being able to click through to a blog when I find a project that interests me – it’s fun to read more about the process and find tips and links and more photos. So that’s what this is all about.
But I’m just trying this out. It might not take.
P.S. Should the need arise, you can contact me at probablyactually@gmail.com.
I hope it takes. I love your projects, you are funny and your daughter is so stinking cute! I found you today through noodlehead.
Ditto Megan’s comments, I found you via Pinterest and I’m very excited as you’ve made some things that I’d love to make (Oliver + S sailboat outfit and bear sleeping bags) plus many more things that are just so beautiful. I have a girl who’s about to turn two (and a 5 month old wee boy). Your blog is very inspirational. Thank you!
Love you blog. Keep it up!
I literally just ‘pinned’ your entire blog, or I would have ended up ‘pinning’ every single post. You are very modest about your lovely sewing projects — they are wonderful! But I understand. Each successful sewing project is a surprise for me as well, and is the cherry on top of learning new techniques and taking pride in something handmade. So thanks, and keep posting!
Love your blog, I found it through Oliver + S. My daughter is 19 months and I am inspired to actually sew that first Oliver + S pattern instead of just looking at the Flickr feed. Thanks!
I just found your blog. You make LOVELY stuff! Thanks for sharing your craftiness!
Hey there! These ladies are all spot-on…your blog is amazing! Keep it up!

I love your blog, and I am instantly inspired. I found you through Pinterest also, and now I’m a follower.
They took the words right out of my mouth….found your beautiful ideas and projects on Pinterest and had to look around, only to find MORE great ideas! Thanks for sharing! I’m looking forward to following your future posts.
Hi, i live in Portugal… I know absolutely nothing about sewing and am terrible at crafts… but i keep checking your blog because I love what you do, how you write and the “picture-perfectness” of your daily life! How do you do it???? Anyway, congratulations and keep the posts coming! I am actually heavily pregnant with my second child right now (I have a girl who is probably 2 weeks younger than yours), and a boy on the way, and have to stay put at work during lunch, so thanks for making my lunch hour that much more “colourful”!!!
Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your blog! All of your projects are gorgeous and your taste in fabric is inspiring. Can’t wait to see what you sew next. 🙂
Your blog is wonderful! Very inspiring!
Have just found your blog through Noodlehead, and echoing the other comments, thank godness I found you! Love your ideas, fabric choices, and the detail/finish of your creations is awesome! Need to shrink my nearly teenage girl back to the best time ever – your little girl rocks!

Hi there! I’m a crafty Aussie gal, living in Hamburg Germany and I LOVE your blog too 🙂 Got here through Pinterest….and so glad I did. You’re an inspiration and your sewing skills and time management amaze me, with a gorgeous little girl in tow….keep up the amazing work!
Not sure how I found your blog… probably through a series of clicks from other blogs 🙂 I’m enjoying it though!
Beautiful things! I feel like such a dolt for just now finding you. Can’t wait to see more. Thanks.
I found your blog through Flickr too, it is lovely and your clothes are beautiful! I just recently started to blog with your similar intentions. I wanted to share what I sewed and since I too stay at home it gives me a bit of a self esteem boost to share and get some feedback from others! Again lovely things! 🙂
I check your blog everyday to see if you have made something new.
I found your blog through Elsie Marley, and I have read through the whole thing. I just love your projects and your style! I have been inspired to buy and try my first Oliver and S pattern. I’m now a happy follower!

Your sewing stuff is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing!!!
What an inspiring blog! Love the dresses. My mother-in-law just showed me how to use the sewing machine she gave me and your work has inspired me to give it a go 🙂
Thanks for sharing.
First time on your blog and loving it. Grandmother of three, and I love the Geranium dress pattern. Can you please tell me how to get the pattern. I love the sprinkle fabric you used but already have some ideas about some of the fabric I have stored. Doesn’t all people who sew store fabric?! Thanks so much for your help with this and will be back to your blog often. Pat
You can find it here:

thanks Amanda! 🙂
Loved your blog
Love the blog! I am just learning to sew so I love all of these projects you do! Do you ever sell your clothing? Would love to purchase some of these!
Sorry to just be responding! Unfortunately I don’t make anything to sell, just not enough hours in the day!
Just found you on Pinterest, love it all, you clever lady, but how do you get the time to fit all that in, I have a 4yr old who’s very demanding and don’t seem to get any time to do anything apart from when she’s in bed at 7.30pm and then I’m exhausted, so hat’s off to you girl, well done. Lots of crafting love from England.
Just found you from a pin on Pinterest. I think we must live in the same city, unless there’s a Modern Domestic somewhere else! Love the blog! Love seeing the beautiful thing’s you’ve sewn to help me decide what to sew next!
Hi, I’m from The Netherlands and love your blog. I even took up sewing lessons because you inspire me so much, but as it turned out, I will never be any good with needle, thread and fabric. Ah well… I do enjoy all the supercute things you make, especially Oscar’s clothes, since I have a 21 month old boy and am always looking for cute boy clothes suggestions. Keep it up. Kudos from a Dutch fan!
I have two young kids boy and girl. You have inspired me to make their clothes, especially since my baby girl is smaller than most. I would love it if you could help me find a fabric store online maybe that would have the adorable fabric you use. Thanks 🙂
Hi Ann! I get a lot of my fabric through LiMa Sews and Llama Fabrics on Etsy these days. Other online shops with great selections are Hawthorne Threads, Fabric Worm, and Pink Chalk Fabrics. Hope that helps you – I try to link to where I got each fabric in my posts, if there’s something specific you’re looking for!
Hi there! I love your blog. I have an almost 3 year old girl and a 14 month old boy. You have inspired me beyond what I can express here. I love absolutely everything you have shown. We have very similar styles, right down to the Livie and Luca shoes and salt water sandals your daughter was wearing. 🙂 Thank you for introducing me to patterns and fabrics (oh the fabrics) that I didn’t even know existed (I live in Canada and our fabric stores are sad at best) Thank your for sharing your life with us. 🙂
sarah, thank you so much for the sweet comment! portland has some great fabric shopping, you should visit! 🙂
I came to your blog via pinterest, but the original pinner pinned from the home page instead of the actual dress post. Funny, though…I didn’t mind perusing your blog at all 😀 You do lovely work. Have you heard of Project Run and Play? I think you would be marvelous and probably win! Thanks for the inspiration!
Hi Gail,
Just curious if you sewed or bought Lila’s orange and white striped tights? They are so cute. I’d love to have a few colors for Ava’s fall wardrobe!
Thanks!
Cynthia
Hi Cynthia,
Those tights came from the Gap, last spring I think. Gap and Boden always have a good selection!
Hello Gail,
i work full time and I have a four year old daughter and I try to make a few dresses a year for her. I have such sewing dream but lots of fear too :(.. I love your blog, just found it today. I have never made an Oliver+S pattern. I just went on the website and have a pdf pattern in my cart :). Any suggestions for my first pattern? I follow a few sewing blogs. I would love to know more about you and your family. Sometimes as a mother it is nice to connect with another mother not just a project. I understand you may be very shy. But I would love to know a little more about you and your inspirations. I love your style.
Hi Lillia! Thanks so much for your stopping by and saying hello. I would probably start with something like the Ice Cream or Rollerskate Dress, or even the free Lazy Days skirt which is available on the website. Even the more difficult O+S patterns are achievable though – the directions are so good! Any of Liesl’s patterns are a wonderful way to learn to sew. Don’t be afraid! 🙂
Thanks for your recommendations, I ended up buying the Family Reunion dress and the Rollerskate Dress. I want to copy your daughters lion dress, already found the fabric on Etsy :). Thanks Again!
Hi.I found your great blog when browsing pinterest for Easter craft ideas. It was the sleepy bunnies that drew my attention to your site. I love your children’s clothes its always more fun making clothes for your children than yourself. I look forward to returning to see more of your blog soon.
Stumbled across your blog via Pinterest. I just adore everything so far. Keep posting your beautiful creations. Love it!!
Love it so much!! Keep it up:) yay
Awesome blog. Trying to get a copy of the Peapod jacket but can’t seem to find it.
