If you’re looking for fall pattern inspiration, Caila of Cailamade is running a series this week to get you in the mood for fall sewing!
I’m guest posting today with a review the Oliver + S School Days Jacket + Coat, which I made for Lila last fall.
I loved making this coat – it’s one of my favorite fall patterns, and it still fits a year later!

Yay! I’m so excited to have you as part of the series! π
This looks so gorgeous. I love that color! I’m inspired to try this pattern out though the last thing I need right now is another huge ambitious project π
It is so cute! I’ve had this pattern forever and have never used it. I LOVE that color.
Gail, this is so sweet…curious about that tag- did you hand-embroider her name on twill tape??? Love it π
thanks erin! yep, hand-embroidered on twill tape π
i love everything you make and i think this is my favorite of every lovely thing you’ve made (which I love). π
i absolutely LOVE this coat!!! i have a 5yr old daughter, a 2 year old son and twin girls on the way…i think everyone is getting coats!!!!!! i haven’t sew since my son was born and even then it was just the odd bib or fixing of something, your blog has inspired me to dig out the sewing machine and create myself a little crafting corner!!! your daughters outfits are beyond adorable and i can only imagine the millions of compliments you get on each and every one of her outfits!!! i have been on your site almost all morning oogling all the patterns and day dreaming of my trip to the fabric store!!!
